Delete your account in SharedChores.

Deletion starts inside the app so you can review exactly what will happen to your account and group before you confirm.

Start an account deletion

1. Open SharedChores and sign in.
2. Open Settings.
3. Choose Delete account.
4. Read the explanation of shared history and group ownership.
5. Confirm the deletion in the app.

If you aren’t the group owner

You can leave the group and delete your account. This removes your access and personal account information. Past shared activity may remain without your name so everyone else’s history still makes sense.

If you own the group

Choose a new group owner first, or delete the group for everyone. An owner cannot leave a group with nobody responsible for it.

Group deletion

Deleting a group signs everyone out, closes invitations, stops notifications and repeating routines, and starts deleting group content. An App Store subscription must still be canceled through Apple. SharedChores keeps only records required for security or law, and those records do not keep deleted group text.

Delete a child profile

An authorized adult can delete a child profile from the child’s group settings. This removes the child’s device access, nickname, and profile. Past shared activity may remain without the child’s name so the group’s history still makes sense.

What happens after confirmation

Access ends as soon as deletion is confirmed. Some remaining removal may take up to 30 days.
