SharedChores gives the people you share life with a private place to share the load. It isn’t built to follow you around, sell your information, or turn home life into an advertising profile.
What SharedChores uses
Your account and name
SharedChores uses Sign in with Apple to confirm an adult account. The app asks Apple only for your full name, which helps suggest how your name appears to your group. You can change that name before setup. SharedChores does not ask for or retain your email address.
What your group shares
SharedChores keeps the names and settings your group chooses, along with its chores, challenges, optional rewards, assignments, progress, routines, and shared history. That is what lets everyone see the same plan and celebrate the same wins.
Your device, notifications, and purchases
Limited device and notification information helps keep your account connected and deliver the notifications you choose. Purchase information confirms whether your group has SharedChores Plus.
Keeping SharedChores dependable
Limited usage and reliability information helps us understand whether features are working and improve the experience. We do not use the names of your people or the words you write in chores, challenges, or rewards for advertising.
How information is used
- Keep your group’s chores, challenges, invitations, progress, recaps, and settings together.
- Deliver the notifications you choose and help protect your account from unwanted access.
- Confirm purchases and make the right Plus features available to your group.
- Find problems, improve SharedChores, and keep the experience dependable.
- Complete deletion requests and meet legal obligations.
Children’s information
A child profile is created and managed by an authorized adult. It may include a nickname, built-in avatar, chore activity, review choices, connected devices, and notification settings selected by that adult.
SharedChores does not ask a child for an email address, phone number, birthday, legal name, home address, location, contacts, photograph, voice recording, public username, school information, social profile, or advertising identifier. Child profiles never receive marketing or upgrade notifications.
Sharing and service providers
SharedChores does not sell your information and does not run advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us deliver SharedChores, when the law requires it, when necessary to protect people or the service, or as part of a business transaction with appropriate safeguards.
Apple supports sign-in, notifications, App Store purchases, and related services. Apple handles that information under its own terms and privacy commitments.
Retention and deletion
Account and group information is kept only as long as needed to provide SharedChores, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Short-lived information such as expired invitations is removed when it is no longer needed.
Adults can delete their account inside the app. A non-owner adult can leave a group and remove their identity linkage. The group owner must first transfer ownership or choose group deletion. Child profiles can be deleted by an authorized adult.
When a deletion is confirmed, access ends right away. Some remaining removal may take up to 30 days. Shared history may keep a past event without a person’s name when needed to keep everyone else’s record understandable. See Delete your account for the steps.
Your choices
- Turn notifications off in iOS or choose generic notification previews in SharedChores.
- Review group, member, device, invitation, and subscription settings in the app.
- Leave a group or delete an account when role and ownership rules permit.
- Ask an authorized adult to remove a child profile or connected child device.
Security
SharedChores uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No service can promise absolute security, so we also limit what we collect and how long we keep it.
Cookies and tracking
This website uses no cookies, advertising pixels, chat widgets, or social embeds. SharedChores does not provide public group profiles or public chore pages.
