Terms

Terms for getting it done together.

Using SharedChores

You may use SharedChores only if you can enter into these terms and your use is permitted where you live. An adult creates and owns a private SharedChores group, invites other adults, and manages any child profiles. The group owner is responsible for choosing appropriate participants and maintaining access to the owner account.

SharedChores helps trusted groups share everyday responsibilities. It is not an emergency service, childcare service, safety monitor, payment or allowance system, professional advice service, or guarantee that a chore will be completed.

Group content and permissions

You retain your rights in the content you enter. You give SharedChores the limited permission needed to store, protect, sync, and show that content to people you authorize, and to provide the features you choose.

Only share content you have the right to use. Do not use SharedChores to harass, threaten, exploit, shame, unlawfully monitor, or endanger another person. Do not try to enter a group without permission, bypass security, view another group’s information, disrupt the service, or use automation that harms others.

Child profiles

Child profiles are managed by an authorized adult, who chooses the nickname, permissions, review settings, and connected devices and is responsible for obtaining any required parental or guardian permission. SharedChores intentionally limits child-profile information and does not provide public profiles, chat, contact upload, location tracking, or advertising.

SharedChores Plus

SharedChores offers useful free features and may offer an optional SharedChores Plus subscription. Current products, prices, trial or preview terms, and billing periods are shown by Apple before purchase. One active owner subscription covers the owner’s group.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase. An auto-renewable subscription renews unless you cancel it through Apple at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge the account within 24 hours before renewal. You can manage or cancel in App Store subscription settings. Apple handles restores, refunds, payment issues, cancellation, and price changes under its rules.

When Plus or a no-payment preview ends, your group’s chores and progress stay in place. Some Plus features may pause until the group is back within the free limits or Plus is active again.

Service changes and availability

We may improve, change, suspend, or retire features to keep SharedChores useful, safe, lawful, and sustainable. We aim to provide notice when a material change affects group data or a paid feature. Like any online service, SharedChores may occasionally be unavailable, and notifications can be delayed. Open the app to see the latest group information.

Account suspension and deletion

You may stop using SharedChores at any time and can request account deletion inside the app. Ownership rules protect shared group data: an owner must transfer ownership before leaving, or choose group deletion. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect people, the service, or legal obligations.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, SharedChores is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that the service will meet every household’s needs. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, Cerebra Enterprises, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Any legally required limitation will be applied only to the extent enforceable in your jurisdiction.

Changes and contact

If these terms materially change, the updated date will change and additional notice may appear in the app. Continued use after an effective update means the updated terms apply, except where law requires another form of consent. Questions can start at corporate@cerebraenterprises.com or SharedChores Support.
